The Database I/O
Monitor gives a picture of Database I/O
consuming resources:
-
Datafiles
- Physical Reads / Writes that occurred
on each file.

Active
Sessions - Which session caused I/O.
-
Active
SQL's - Which Sql's caused I/O
The size of the
rotating Gear indicates on the relative amount
of I/O that was consumed by the Resource.

Collapse:
It's possible to
see a general picture or to see details about
the I/O consuming resources by pressing on the
toolbar on the button for every one of the
categories.
Automatic
Refresh:
The Monitor
samples the database every 30 seconds
(default) and it's possible to change the
interval from the Options Menu.
If the 'pause' button is pressed that the
Monitor does not automatically sample the
database, but only when the 'refresh' button
is pressed.
