Capacity Planning Pack creates
a repository on the database and performs
scheduled samples of all database objects size
once at a time according to intervals defined
by the user.
The sample procedure works on the background
and samples the ‘High Watermark’ of all
objects and not their physical size.
The High Watermark is a better indication for
the real size of the data inside the object.

Planning Pack isn't a part of the software
default package but a separate one.

When Objects are going to extend or
Tablespaces are going to fill.

Objects that have a constant growth rate
(Linear) or Objects that have abnormal
behavior regarding to growth (example: a
peak in growth)

Planning Pack can identify the average growth
rate of objects (size per day), the accuracy
of the growth rate AND can predict the future
object size according to that growth rate.
